If you haven’t heard, on Thursday a woman jumped from the chairlift on the way up to the beautiful and popular tourist attraction, Anakeesta in Gatlinburg. In true human form, people rushed to social media to offer their thoughts before hearing any facts whatsoever of the incident. I don’t want to prolong this unfortunate occurrence much longer, so I’ll offer up my brief commentary and let it go…forever.
It is a safe ride and I think that Anakeesta handled everything the best they could. They had no control over that person and her actions. Anakeesta is innocent in this. Prayers for her family and the community
Right. Several years ago, a man jumped from the Space Needle in downtown Gatlinburg. He did not survive. The attraction was closed for investigation and re-opened with a few more safety enhancements, I believe. However, it is not the fault of the city because a man wanted to end his life over a fraud conviction and did not want to do his sentence.
I thought about mentioning this. I remember hearing about it when it happened. It's just one of those things you hope never happens, but sadly it does.

Yes, I agree 100%. It truly is an unfortunate incident. I hope the family can find some comfort movng forward and celebrate her life.
Very sad, but never thought it was a ride problem. Obviously the young lady was not well. Sad, sad. Praying for her family.
