Warning: Emotions May Get the Best of You at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg
I will just warn you right now: This will not be a typical review of Anakeesta in Gatlinburg. I know you may think that this means I'm going to say some things in this post you won't like. That may be true. You may disagree with me, but I can assure you that I'm not going to sell you on every single factoid or tidbit or things you can do to pass the time while you're here. Nope, I'm not going that route with this review. I'd rather give you an account of how I felt when I returned to this popular attraction in Gatlinburg, so here we go...
The decision was made the night before that I wouldn't be joining my family on our planned visit to Anakeesta that Wednesday morning on Day 5 of our week-long visit. The reason won't be easily understood by those of you reading this, but to put it in simple terms, I had to make an early afternoon phone call to secure my new job for work; otherwise, I would be in a bad situation. Now, this wasn't an easy decision, but I had to live with it. As it turned out, it was even wiser considering the wait to get up there was pretty long if you didn't want to ride the chairlift. More on that in a bit.
