I’m a little ahead of schedule, but we’re close enough for a report on our second month living in Gatlinburg. If you read the first one, you’re familiar with how we’ve adjusted and still adjusting to life in a tourist town. As a teaser, I will say that we’re doing just fine with our surroundings, and we’re loving our brand new life, which is a sharp contrast to what we had been doing in Ohio. This is what we wanted, and it has been productive and perpetually positive. How has the second month treated us? Here are some of the highlights.
The first month saw us live out our dream by getting settled mere minutes away on foot from the flurry of fanatic activity available in Gatlinburg. This is the point where we gave our previous life a permanent place in the landfill of life’s past memories. We don’t ever want to return to that grind which was sucking the life from us—in some ways, quite literally.
