Visitors to Gatlinburg have long loved the trolley system for getting around the tourist town. And for the last five years, it’s been 100% free to ride, giving them even more incentive to take a break from all the walking, which can be quite exhausting when the Tennessee summer heat turns up.
May 1st marks the resumption of regular operating hours for the Gatlinburg Trolley System. This will allow guests more time to take advantage of the efficiency of taking this mode of transportation. From now until October 31, the trolley will operate from 8:30 in the morning until midnight every day. The Yellow Trolley, which goes out to the Arts and Crafts Community on Glades Road operates between 10:30 in the morning and 6 in the evening.
The Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies serves as the main stop for every single trolley. This is your source for information on the four color-coded routes, but if you want, you can also track the trolleys by searching “Gatlinburg trolley” on your Android or Apple device and download the app. It is super helpful! You can locate all the trolley stops on it, and there are also maps to get your bearings. Click the link below to get all the info!
