Life is short. Before you know it, you’re a middle-aged man like me looking for that spark that many of us never find. Luckily for me, I’ve found my fountain of youth here in Gatlinburg, if you may. Nothing has been more fulfilling, more rewarding than finally living a dream that I never knew existed until we first set foot here in 2011. Unfortunately, there are drawbacks to that life I was seeking; but, fortunately, it has been exactly what we all needed, escaping our dead end life in Ohio in the process. I’m going to concisely explain the range of emotions and struggles that have emerged with our new life in Gatlinburg, including the good and not so good without totally repeating myself. Here goes…
