The “Get Lucky at the SkyBridge” is happening every single day of March. The luck of the Irish can’t be justified with just a single day, which is part of the reason The Skypark’s SkyBridge will be illuminated in green all month-long. Crockett Mountain sits 500 feet above Gatlinburg, but all 680 feet of the Skybridge will be adorned in green lights.
The fortunes won’t stop at the lights, as twinkling shamrocks (not the downtown pub) will be hanging underneath the bridge. This will make for a bright night display, which will also give us visions of springtime in the Smokies. Nothing is more indicative of the blooming season more than the shades of green that begin to fill out on the ground and in the trees. Spring will certainly soon be…well, springing to life!
You can’t have lights without a little entertainment as well. Live music will envelop the park on select days throughout the month. Stay tuned as the list of performers will surely be unveiled on the Gatlinburg Skypark website!
There is no extra cost for participation in the month-long celebration. You can save money (an extra $5) by purchasing your tickets online at least 3 days in advance. Note: these tickets are date-specific, so plan accordingly for your vacation. The Skypass is an extra $7 on top of the regular admission price, but it gives you unlimited lift rides and allows you to completely skip the tickets line.
Does this make you green with envy! Get in line and furvently enjoy the cultural and religious holiday on top of the mountain. If you’re a fan of the holiday, you have 31 whole days encompassing St. Patrick’s…month!
