Our 17th month of life in Gatlinburg saw the tides of the holiday season swing wildly as it normally does. For us, that meant our second go-round of working retail during the busiest time of the year in a tourist town. We don’t get a whole lot of snow normally in our little valley. The mountains next door are another story, but any time we see a flake, (at least for me personally) I get a little excited. I never thought I had it in me. As an adult, I absolutely hated snow in Ohio… with a passion! It didn’t help that I was mired in a funk that lasted for what seemed like forever until the days lengthened and the weather warmed.
