Whew, I don’t think we’ve ever been so happy to get our drive finished. In my last post, I detailed our strange, long 9 hour detoured journey back to the Buckeye state. The exhausting final destination couldn’t have been any better—home with my parents. While it’s nice to have a few days of visiting familiar places that reminded us of our daily lives, it’s necessary to have most of that time devoted to spending time with our parents.
Honestly, there’s some emotions at play whenever we come back home. I’ll get into that a little bit more, and reveal some of the things that can be difficult to discuss. I want this to be more than just a publication for Gatlinburg content for those of you who’ve supported me with a paid subscription. Even though it’s not easy, sometimes, sharing such personal subjects, I feel it’s a story I need to tell. But first, let’s dive into the stuff that’s a bit more effortless.
