Our Family Day at Dollywood
It finally happened. Yeah, it took us way too long to visit one of the more famous theme parks in the country—at least in terms of the glitz and glamour of its namesake. Dollywood eluded us in more ways in one from the moment we set our feet on the glorious ground of the Smoky Mountains. But that all changed on this day. Here’s how it all transpired for us.
It’s rare that all 3 of us—wife, son, and I—all have the same off without requesting any time off. What makes this so funny is that I actually did get a personal day approved for just this reason. May 8th was going to be our Dollywood day, but as luck would have it, we all were fortunate to have Wednesday, May 1st off instead. Throw in the perfect weather that was forecast, and that made it all the better!
