Music On The Mountain Bridging Genres at Gatlinburg Skypark
The Gatlinburg Skypark is the site of some sweet music with their Music on the Mountain providing some solid performers. This musical special has already begun, but it will continue in the months to follow. Much like many other sites on the ground in downtown Gatlinburg, the Skypark is hosting a handful of talented musicians to fill an already tuneful town overhead. Here’s a list of 6 instrumentalists you’ll want to check out!
Richard Bennett and Fiddling Leona
Richard Bennett sings, plays, and writes, and he is from East Tennessee. His partner at the Gatlinburg is the supremely talented Leona, who hails from Tokyo, Japan, but now calls Tennessee her home. You can hear her song, “Dancing ‘Round The Fire,” on Sirius XM’s Bluegrass Junction.
They will be playing up at the Gatlinburg Skypark on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until May from 5-8 p.m.
Jimi Holscher

Jimi Holscher not only sings and plays a mean guitar, he also provides stunning footage from his business, Smoky Mountain Drone Co. He is someone who seems to have a keen sense of what it’s like to enjoy life and all of its gifts. I think you would be well-served seeing him unleash his creativity with his music and other passions.
You can see him at the Gatlinburg Skypark attraction on April 19, 20, and also on May 10 and 11 from 5-8.
Gavin Harper

Gavin Harper is a young (17!) and talented indie rock performer. He definitely has a bright future and many good years in front of him. You can see him at the Skypark on April 13, May 18, and May 31, but he’s also seen in many other spots in Sevier County, including Hard Rock Cafe, and the Margaritaville Resorts. You’ll tell your friends later on that you saw Harper play in Gatlinburg before he hit the big time.
Taylor Teasley & Tori Hughes
Taylor Teasley is a remarkably talented singer and guitarist from Nashville (originally from suburban SoCal). Her signature sound stems from her warm, original singing voice that captures your attention from the first note. She has played hundreds of shows, paying her dues, but success should come soon, if you ask me.
Tori Hughes is also a veteran of the Nashville music scene, hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Her music blends contemporary country with an ode to the classic country sounds from a steel guitar and dobro. She graduated from Belmont University and hopes to break through, showcasing her original music for audiences beyond “Music City.”
These two will be playing the Skypark on April 26, 27, and May 17 from 5-8.
Georgia Owen
Georgia is the final spotlight performer for Music on the Mountain at the Gatlinburg Skpark. She is an up-and-comer from Allentown, New Jersey. Her influences are Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, and Sheryl Crow. She has been cutting her teeth in Asbury Park, as well as venues across New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Since moving to Nashville, she has won the 2023 Nashville Briefing Songwriting Contest with her song, “Fur Coat.”
She is another artist destined for greatness, and you can see her perform at the Gatlinburg attraction on May 24 and 25 from 5-8.
This is a solid lineup of musicians you won’t want to miss when you visit the Gatlinburg Skypark. I didn’t find anything from these artists I would dislike if I saw them performing live. Make sure you consider in the event you’re here the next couple of months!
