Highlights from the Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff and Winterfest 2022: YouTube Perspectives
Going for something a bit different in this edition. I wrote a preview for the Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff and Winterfest Kickoff expressing my desire to one day attend this annual event, along with some important facts for this year’s edition. The next best thing to being there is following other Youtubers and their experiences at this grand spectacle. And here they are!
The Daily Woo
The first one is from Adam the Woo, a Youtuber who documents his adventures across the country. He has over 600,000 followers, and if you’ve seen his many videos, you can see why. I love how he talks about some interesting tidbits and factoids about Gatlinburg before the events of the evening even started.
Every Day Is Saturday
The second features Every Day is Saturday, YouTubers who live in Middle Tennessee but obviously love visiting the various tourist areas in East Tennessee. They don’t have nearly the followers as Adam the Woo, but it doesn’t matter. Their videos are awesome, and their page will continue to grow as long as they keep making videos.
The Gatlinburg Hussey
Up-and-coming YouTube star, The Gatlinburg Hussey, spotlights the third perspective of the night of the Cookoff. His rapid follower growth is due in part to his proximity to the action and ability to provide daily videos of what’s going on in Gatlinburg. He’s a New Englander who’s lived here in the Burg since 1993, but only recently has he started his own channel. His charming personality is a natural for this platform. I see bright things ahead for this guy. It’s easy to root for him.
The Smoky Mountain Family
The final video is from The Smoky Mountain Family. Fine video production, family reviews, and activities from this fabulous foursome are what you can find on their channel. Originally from Kentucky, they now make the dream of living in Gatlinburg a reality. As you may know already, I am jealous but happy knowing it can work for others, as difficult as it may seem. Anyway, this video from them is a trip through Gatlinburg on the first night the lights illuminated in this beautiful tourist town.
Make sure to hit the subscribe and like button on not only my Substack publication, but from these fellow YouTubers as well. It’s hard work and time consuming doing what we do. It’s a labor of love that we all can feel proud of at the end of the day, and your support is seen as a bonus and extra motivation to give you our best work. Thank you all!
