Time flies when you’re having fun. Well, it’s about as enjoyable as it can be while maintaining the rigors of adult life. Working full time makes it feel like you’re not on vacation anymore, and that’s just alright with us. There’s no doubt we are living a fulfilling life in the present, anyway, and not waiting for our next vacation. Last year, I was already needing a break three months into my temporary job, but it’s not like that here in Gatlinburg. Before I go too far into the meat of the matter, I’d like to discuss some of my observations, opinion, and outlooks from our time as East Tennessee residents.

As I’ve mentioned in a prior post, it’s weird but welcoming getting recognized in certain establishments; even more strange having your favorite drink delivered to you without ordering. But anyway, it’s nice having that closeness in the community without it being too close. I’m fine with it just being hospitable and friendly.
