Coffee & Company—known for the Peace, Love, & Coffee motto— has been a must for my morning caffeine fix in Gatlinburg for more than 10 years. As a business, they’ve been in the tourist town for more than 30. Even though the temperatures haven’t yet cooled, the flavors they unveil every fall brings in thirsty tourists and locals by the hordes. I would venture a guess and say this is likely C&C’s most prosperous season, which may mean I have to arrive even earlier before my shift at work to obtain my prized nectar of the gods for the day.
Even though they are under new ownership, Gabby has been just as welcoming and wonderful as Jeannie—the person responsible for making C&C a huge success with a loyal customer base. The shop itself has undergone a few changes which have been noticeable, and that’s saying something coming from someone who is often blind to small and somewhat obvious changes. The floor mats in the tiny shop make it pop once you hop inside, and the table that holds the napkins and packets was moved toward the doorway, allowing for more space just to the left of the register.
Yes, I wrote this because Coffee and Company is my favorite coffee shop in Gatlinburg. Some of you may already know this. I may have spoiled this for a future post of ranking coffee shops, but that’s quite alright. I don’t think it’s even fair to list the others, since I am such a regular here. Pretty easy to see why, with its ideal walking location for me inside the wondrous Old World gem that is The Village.
And now, on to the changes you’ve been waiting for: the new fall flavor lineup!
Coffee and Company has a variety of hot and cold drinks to get you in the mood for the fall season, including a few seasonal flavored beans for you to take home, or brew at the cabin. Their new fall menu features the following: Salted Campfire, Maple Pancake Latte, Apple Pie Macchiato, Caramel Apple Chai, and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. The seasonal flavored beans of note features Pumpkin Spice, Autumn Spice, and Jack Daniel’s—yes, a whiskey flavored one. I can attest to the tastiness of Pumpkin Spice, as I’m thoroughly enjoying it at this current moment! Their sample bags of beans are only $3.50, and they can grind them for you if you’d like!

Like I mentioned earlier, I am loving the new and improved look of the shop. They are utilizing what small space they have to their advantage. In fact, when I went down earlier to take pictures, I noticed a new cooler underneath the register, which I was told had just been installed the previous evening. While I don’t indulge in what’s inside—croissants, scones, cookies, and brownies—they are enjoyed by my wife and son, occasionally, and would be a nice add-on to their amazing coffee blends! Of course, they also have larger bags of coffee beans, various mugs, shirts, and kitchen accessories. They also ship! Their fantastic online store and Facebook page are linked below!

Even though I love, love, love, this piece of heaven in The Village, there are other coffee shops in town I will sometimes visit—Bloom and Berry Coffee House on 321 and Gatlinburg Grind on Glades Road—just to name a few. No Starbucks for me. I have not once visited the one downtown. Having these local coffee shops in Gatlinburg are easy choices if you want a MUCH better cup of coffee than the burnt taste of that “popular” chain. I do like their Veranda, but overall, I find them too inconsistent. Admittedly, I do at times go with them when I’m out of town. Sometimes, the desperation for coffee is real on the road!
I can’t fault you for going with another shops fall flavors, as I am sure the others in Gatlinburg do a wonderful job. I would encourage you to support any of these small businesses when you’re vacationing in Gatlinburg! I can almost guarantee you, there will be no disappointment, and you may find yourself spending less than you would at a national chain coffee shop. If you ask me, you’re getting better quality for a cheaper price at Coffee & Company! Hope to see you there!

Stay tuned as I have much more to say about this little tourist town in the days, weeks, and months to come! I appreciate you all!
