Details About the Fourth of July Fireworks Show in Gatlinburg
It’s never too early to start planning for a visit to Gatlinburg. If you haven’t already booked you accommodations for the Fourth, you may be find yourself sitting at home. I know some of you don’t like these type of crowds—which are massive around major holidays—but if you’re looking to check it off your bucket list, or just looking for a good party, Gatlinburg will certainly be your place to celebrate the country’s Independence Day.
A new addition to the fireworks show will be the first for this holiday, but we saw it for the New Year’s bash, and that’s the beautifully choreographed drone show. From my spot on the Parkway in Gatlinburg, I didn’t get to see all of it. I only caught the whole show from looking at videos posted afterward. It was simply spectacular, and hopefully this time, I’ll have a better vantage point.
The drone show followed by the fireworks is slated to begin at 10 P.M., but some of the best spots can be seen from Anakeesta, and especially, Gatlinburg Skypark; in fact, they are offering VIP after-hours access. Included is their own fireworks and drone show on Crockett Mountain, as well as all-day access to the Skypark on July 5th. Tickets will go on sale one month prior, and guests are asked to arrive between 9 and 9:30 on the Fourth to redeem them. Be sure to check out the Gatlinburg Skypark website on June 4th to score some VIP exclusives!
It won’t be quite the party that New Year’s Eve was, but still, it’ll be tons of fun. I haven’t decided where I’d like to be stationed, however, I have time to figure it out. I believe I’m more excited I don’t have to wait for the stroke of midnight to see the shooting off of a glorious wave of sound and colors. Pictures and maybe a story will likely follow from my personal experience. I hope to give you a well written account! Thank you all for subscribing and reading everything from my Gatlinburg life. Stay tuned, everyone!
