Anakeesta Announces Local Appreciation Days For a Week in November

Gatlinburg’s #1 mountain attraction is offering area workers and locals a break with their Local Appreciation Days for the week of November 15-22. Also, with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee as their partner, Anakeesta will once again be helping those impacted by Hurricane Helene’s devastating floods.
Second Harvest is a non-profit organization, whose programs are designed to help those in need of food in the surrounding area, from the young to the old. And they also strive to provide educational resources, as well as end the vicious cycle of poverty that hurts so many families. All told, they estimate more than 200,000 individuals in East Tennessee experience hunger, as they service an area of 18 counties, with over 670 partner organizations assisting their efforts to feed families.
Anakeesta is a 70-acre mountaintop adventure park in Gatlinburg, which opened in 2017, with unmatched views of the Smokies without venturing into the national park—still very much recommended, though. They have retail shops, restaurants, seasonal events featuring live entertainment, the Treetop Skywalk, kids playhouses, and much more. Their most talked about add-on feature is Astra Lumina, an enchanting night walk amongst the stars that’s unlike anything else in this tourist town.
If you are a resident or employee of Sevier, Blount, Cocke, or Jefferson County, (sorry, not Knox) all-day park access of only $5 will be given as long as you have a valid Tennessee photo ID with current address, or show a current photo ID with a valid paystub from those counties listed, dated within the last 30 days. Note: the $5 doesn’t include the add-on features: Astra Lumina, Zipline, and mountain coasters.
Are you ready for some all-out fun with the family for an extraordinary price, while helping out area families in need, in the process? If you haven’t already visited the amazing Anakeesta attraction in Gatlinburg, I can’t think of a better time to check out all the excitement people have been raving about when it comes all the things to do here. Whether you're skittish about the ski lift, that’s no problem. Their Ridge Rambler vehicles will drive you up to the adventure park. And if you’re lucky, you just might see a bear on your way up! Many boxes can be checked with your day at Anakeesta. Enjoy!
