Anakeesta Announces Local Appreciation Days Dates
Gatlinburg’s premiere mountaintop attraction just announced this year’s Local Appreciation Days. It’s a week-long, annual honoring Anakeesta gives to its local residents at an unmatched price. From May 1-8, if you are a resident of Sevier, Cocke, Blount, or Jefferson County, you can enjoy the stunning views, all-ages adventure courses, and amazing food at the Anakeesta outdoor extraordinaire.
How much is it? How’s $5 sound? Plus, you’ll be contributing to a fantastic cause. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Smokies, which assists the National Park Service in ways we can all appreciate. They protect the park through fundraising efforts, public education projects, and vital volunteer programs that have helped restore the Elkmont Daisy Town, among others as well.
In order to get your $5 admission price, all you need is a Tennessee photo ID with your current address, or a present-day photo ID, along with a paystub from the 4 counties in the Local Appreciation Days areas dated within the last 30 days.
This is your chance to visit the most sought-after experience in Gatlinburg, and maybe the entire Smoky Mountains tourist area. With the cheap admission price, this provides you a golden opportunity to walk through the Astra Lumina light display for an add-on charge of $16 per person, beginning 30 minutes after sunset. I’ve written two glowing reviews about this unbelievable spectacle I can’t recommend enough. Also, the Pixie Belles will take the Stone Village stage for their original show at 4 different times in the afternoon, so you have no excuse to miss it.
