A Roller Coaster of a Day in Gatlinburg: Wednesday, September 13th
Today is my day off from work. I’m always trying to figure out the best plan of action when it’s only me out of the three of us with an off day. It started out pretty uneventful as I sat and sipped my coffee after eating a breakfast of three fried eggs. Little did I know that once I left our apartment unit, things would take a turn that would agitate my mild stomach ulcer.
Today is Day 38 of living in Gatlinburg. I’m not sure whether it feels like we’ve been here longer or shorter; either way, it’s still incredible to believe we’re here and adjusting to the life we roughly sketched out years ago. Here’s what made this day more exciting than what I envisioned.
