There comes a time in everyone’s life when a page and a new leaf must be turned. Stagnation is something seen as a negative quality in my eyes. Sure, it can be comforting, but when there’s a fire that burns deep inside of you, what do you do with it? Do you let it flame out, or do you stoke it, keeping you warm and activating those desires and goals you know will be yours for the taking… one day.

That day came for all three of us, whether we knew it was going to happen or not lingered agonizingly. We questioned if it was possible, steering us into a maze of misdirection and skepticism until it became perfectly clear to us that the thing we were denying, was in fact the right place for us. We just had to roll around in the mud one more time, for one final year before our big move.

I promise this has a point. I want to set this up, because what happened last week was one of the most bittersweet and monumental moments I can think of—at least since the birth of our son. And I think that’s a perfect segue to what I’m about to say.
