5 Reasons to See the Impossibilities Show on Your Gatlinburg Vacation

There's a special magic show in Gatlinburg called Impossibilites, and you will be excited to learn about some of the things that will simply add to your vacation fun here. In addition to the entertainment value, I will give you 5 reasons why shouldn't miss this absolutely terrific hour and a half evening show.

1. The Master Mentalist Himself

His name is Erik Dobell, and there's plenty to appreciate about his ability to put on a great show and demonstrate his magnetic personality traits. If you don't catch it from the beginning, you'll definitely see by the end of the show that he doesn't take himself too seriously, and he has a genuine love for people. Probably the best part of his character is how approachable he is. He really does love interacting with his audience, and I will dive into more of this later.

2. Kids Will Love It

While portions of his Impossibilities show may go above the youngsters' heads, it's extremely kid-friendly. There's an appeal that caters to adults at times, but he always intends to keep it squeaky clean, and the kids love some of the comedy he provides with his facial reactions and flat-out amazing magical tricks. It adds up to a truly memorable night out with the family.

3. It's Tricky

Erik is constantly working on perfecting his head-scratching tricks, and the cool thing is you're not quite sure what you’re going to get with his show. We've been to his show twice. And while he repeats some of his tricks, it never felt like you were getting the same show. That speaks to his ability to keep the audience on their toes every night.

4. The Space Needle and Arcade are Right Here!

As if the entertainment value wasn't enough with Erik's Impossibilities show, everything you would want to keep the fun to the max is right here. Before you get to the Iris theater, you are inundated with dings, whirs, and bell-ringing in the aptly named Arcadia. Yep, there are games galore to keep you occupied for hours on end. And if that wasn't enough, you also have the elevator that takes you to the top of the Space Needle. Is that all? Of course not! You absolutely must try some gigantic, delicious New York style pizza at Slice Pizzeria. Be prepared to share.

5. It's Very Interactive

I mentioned earlier how personable Erik Dobell is, and I can certainly vouch for that. He is always happy to chat with you after the show, and I enjoyed our interaction last year.
